Position: Senior Plant Pathologist
Education Background: M.Sc./PHD in Plant Pathology or Agriculture Biotechnology
Location: Bidadi, Bangalore
Experience: 10-12 Years
Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct research on host plant resistance to emerging diseases in alignment with company product goals.
Design and implement test protocols for disease screening and ensure accurate data collection and record-keeping.
Perform laboratory diagnosis of plant diseases (fungal. bacterial, or viral) and develop effective inoculation techniques.
Analyze and interpret experimental data to identify resistance levels and recommend disease management strategies.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (breeders, molecular biologists, entomologists, production managers) to integrate findings into breeding programs.
Develop and monitor pest and disease control methods and assess their effectiveness.
Conduct field surveys and investigations to determine causes. incidence, and severity of plant infections.
Prepare technical reports summarizing research results, observations, and recommendations
