Requirements
Collection of soil and plant samples and subsequent washing and processing to extract various nematodes
Maintenance of pure culture pots.
Mass multiplication of plant-parasitic nematodes on suitable hosts to make available sufficient numbers of life stages to conduct bioassays.
Carrying out bioassays with different bio-control agents/formulations (fungal and bacterial strains) to evaluate bio-control potential in suppressing nematode population under lab and pot trial conditions.
Checking efficacy and determining lethal concentrations of microbial strains against different plant-parasitic nematodes.
Assisting in conducting field trials against nematodes.
