Centre for Wildlife Studies (CWS) is a non-profit trust based in Bengaluru, India. Established in 1984, CWS is now an internationally recognized centre-of-excellence in the arenas of wildlife research, training, formal education and in situ conservation. Centre for Wildlife Studies practices science-based conservation, with special emphasis on ecology and conservation of the tiger and other large mammals. CWS works in collaboration with Central and State Governments in India to promote conservation of wildlife and wild lands, and is additionally supported by several international and national charities, agencies and donors.

Position: Project Coordinator (Wildlife Carbon Program)
Education Background: B.Sc. Agriculture, Forestry, Wildlife Science
Experience: Experience in field programs, agroforestry, conservation projects, community management
Location: Karnataka
Roles and Responsibilities
Collect and manage field data for the Wild Carbon program, including baseline surveys, planting records, planting updates, drone surveys, and follow-up assessments.
Supervise coordinators, field assistants, and daily wage workers, ensuring good data collection, proper logistics, and responsible use of equipment.
Train field teams on project tasks, data collection, and digital tools to improve overall performance.
Work with senior CWS staff to maintain good relationships with local communities, stakeholders, and partner organizations.
Submit daily field updates and monthly reports and maintain clear communication with the Program Manager and the Bengaluru office.
Ride a two-wheeler confidently with a valid driving license (four-wheeler license is a bonus).
